Hi,
I looked into this UAC problem a couple of years ago when I had to say "Yes" to every profile or template I wanted to delete from an MT4 platform. My simple answer is to install MT4 to the default directory under C:Program Files. After it installs open Windows Explorer & go to the MT4 directory. Right-click & select Properties, then the Security tab. From this popup you can navigate to 2 areas that allow you to take FULL CONTROL of this directory & all directories & files below. Fairly simple to follow & takes < 1 minute. Since doing this I have NEVER had a problem with any MT4 installation. I have over 40 installations on a few computers - never have any questions from UAC.
Cheers,
Mick

Hello,
Read Mick's solution, and like him I read alot about UAC in Win7 when I upgraded OS.
Different approach and I have not had any problems either. Currently 5 mt4 apps loaded up this way.

My method was to create folder C:UserPrograms. In it, I put any software I use, buy, download, whatever. Regarding Virtual Store, no files get transferred there. C: Program Files I keep for windows7 stuff only. Maybe of some use to someone.

Also, a big thankyou to Ovo, for keeping abreast of all the developements regarding MT4.5 and his trading tools. I use MedianRenko, really like it.
Good Trading Everyone,
George
