Thanks for this great backtesting tool. After upgrading metatrader to build 600 it is no longer working. I am getting the message "Something went wrong". I have already enabled portable mode. Please suggest if any configuration changes are required to make it working.

I know, many my scripts need update to the new data structure that comes with the 600... the commercial ones are the first on the list, so give me some time to come back to this free tool later.

@Axel The 600 version is in Downloads section - look for OfflineTestHelper.ex4

Hi Ovo, I've found the OfflineTestHelper for build 600 and it gives me this error message : Unsupported legacy hst version. use b509-compatible script.
I'm running version 4 build 625 , so it should work. Any ideas ?

Hello Daniel, you have to alter your offline chart generator to produce a 600+ native file format. The legacy file formats are not accepted by the strategy tester.

Thank you so much Ovo. I guess that means that my RenkoLiveChart_v3.2 is the one out of date. Maybe if I use the RenkoBar I might get it to work?

Finally got it working. If anyone has the same problem, errors or script not working , please read carefully Ovo's installation instructions , understand the portable mode for MT4 and it will work ! Thanks again to Ovo for the script and instructions.

Thanks so much for putting this together. Finally got the meanrenko working on the 670 build mt4. For anyone else having problem... Make sure the Offlinetesthelper is in the script folder. Setup the offline charts as you usually do... then drag the offline helper onto the offline chart (not the 1min chart). Script copies the data, then you reopen MT4 and put login server as 'test'. Run strategy tester, 1min chart, (I'm using expert advisor - 'Traing Denis Olov), click start and you should have mean renko running in test mode.

Hello Brian, the helper only turns the offline chart to the M1 timeframe, it does not support any alternate input.

I cannot backtest imported tick data, although 1M data from the broker is limited to only one month. I have tried everything to get this to work. I think the range bar charts with the Omnia tools are great, but if I cannot backtest more than one month then it is no good to me. A competitor product is able to backtest with imported tick data, but if you cannot provide a solution then I will just have to buy the other product. I prefer yours with the extra tools, so it would be a pity if you can't find a solution to my problem. Thank you.

As far as I can see this type of behavior, we are not important for you once you sold for us something.
I suspect this indicator is not working in backtest mode on the new version of any Metatrader but you are letting people buy it, hoping they do not ask for a refund in time. If I am wrong please make a video showing on a recent chart when it is working and how you set it up. I takes 5-6 minutes to make one video. If I am wrong I will apologize here and promote your website everywhere. If you do not react anything I will do the opposite.

@Zoltan, I am sorry you have this feeling. There are couple of videos on using the backtest helper, please try to follow this one: https://youtu.be/rPd7g0V9DcQ The software gets updated from time to time, download it again to be sure you have the more recent one.
I do refunds within the first 30 days after purchase without hesitation, nevertheless this script is freeware. Regarding your suspicion, you are correct, none of my commercial indicators works in the backtest (visual) mode. They are not designed to, and I am not sure how they should behave in the tester enviroment.

Hello,
I've downloaded the trial version of MeanRenkoBar.ex4 and OmniaRemote.ex4 and OmniaAutoRange.ex4 and OfflineTestHelper and have installed them properly but when I run OfflineTestHelper and type "test" in the MT4 popup window (into "Server") MT4 is shutted down and does not restart automatically. So, after a while I started it manually but it says "Waiting for update" and it has been like that for 12hours now. Could you tell me please how to solve this problem? I'm using MT4 version 4.00 build 880.

@Dave When you switch to the test virtual broker, ignore the open charts, the only one that interests you is the M1 for the tester.

The problem was the TimeFrame, I had set it to 30M. Once I set it to 1M the OfflineTestHelper ran pretty well. But at the end it didn't show any result though. No one order was opened. I tried it both backtest, visual and non visual mode. First I thought it was the fault of my EA, so I modified it making it as simple as it can be, but still no one order was opened. I need the MeanRenkoBar.ex4 not only for backtesting but also for automatic trading with EAs. Does MeanRenkoBar.ex4 work with EAs?

The indicator works with any EA, but it is not compatible with the Strategy Tester.
If the tester does not open trades, look if it was not caused by the Error 131. It is currently showing up with all offline tests.
Please search ovo.cz for warkaround.
